P3 Day 5 - I'm a Super Ball

I didn't want to say yo yo, because that would insinuate yo yo dieting, which I no longer do. I always want to be super and because I'm going up and down...you understand the metaphor. So, I was up 1.8 pounds this morning from yesterday. I have decided that I'm not going to stress about these four pesky pounds because TOM is still hanging around causing drama and could very well be the culprit. By Saturday or Sunday, I hope things have (dare I say it?) stabilized. I'm still drinking my 80 ounces of water and probably should be drinking more. I will try. I'm getting in not-so-many-calories, which probably isn't good either. I feel like I'm eating a ton, but I guess I'm not.

So, here it is...today's menu:

I know I'm supposed to be getting in around 1500 calories and I'm no where near that today. I'll work hard to get it in tomorrow (despite the Babe's doctor's appointment). I was 161.8 pounds this morning and I did not do a steak day. I'm waiting for TOM to get the heck outta Dodge.

P3 Day 4 - Doing Better

I weighed just slightly above the 2lb margin on my scale that reads in .5 increments. It's very possible that I was back where I needed to be, but there was no way to tell. So, I skipped breakfast (to be safe) and had a light lunch. For dinner, I indulged with Chicken Saag (I adore Indian food!) and gave my Naan and Basmati rice to my children. Of course, they didn't like them so, hopefully hubby will indulge.

After taking the eldest to dance, I went and bought the scale. Yes! I'm already feeling better (but I should probably not get too excited just yet). The scale looks like the one on the left. It's not my "Thinner", but it will do.

Here's my menu for the day:

The steak day seemed to help, but without my scale that shows .2lb increments, I can't tell if I'm back down to within the margin or not. I will not eat breakfast, have my light lunch and a full protein dinner today. I have to buy that blasted scale! [edit this diary entry]

I was 160 on my .5 increment scale, so I decided to eat today. I think I did okay, but definitely too much salt.

P3 Day 3 - Steak Day

Oh, well. I drank and drank and drank till I was floating away. Then, I had a ginormous steak that I couldn't finish, along with my apple for dinner. I really hope this works because I don't want to have to do this again any time soon. Not that it was incredibly difficult, it was just sad to miss meals all day, when (if I'd planned better), I wouldn't have had too.

I didn't have time to pick up the scale like I planned and I wonder if I'll have time at all this week. Spring break spoiled me; no running kids to every place under the sun. This week, it's back to being a Mom-Taxi. Gymnastics on Tuesday, dance for one kid on Wednesday and dance for the other on Thursday. Saturday, another competition to drive too. I'll be so happy when these kids learn how to drive themselves (I think). :)

Other than I had to have a steak day, there's really nothing to tell. I'm praying hard that I dropped this blasted weight and will be able to partake in some healthy goodies tomorrow for my coworkers shower. I pre-ordered chicken skewers and Miso soup. Can't go wrong there, can I? I suppose I'll have to eat it anyway, even if I don't drop the weight (since I pre-ordered and all). I knew P3 was going to be tricky. No surprises here.

Sadly, I was 161.5 this morning. I loathe being back in the 160s, as bizarre as that sounds. I'm really being quite hard on myself. Better stop that.

P3 Day 2 - No Steak for Me...at Least, Not Yet

Today, I woke up with a case of the stomach ickies. I knew it was coming so I only had a couple of pieces of bacon and a half a grapefruit for breakfast. For lunch, a nice healthy helping of tuna salad (complete with iceberg lettuce, a little mayo, Roma tomatoes, egg whites and bumblebee tuna). For dinner? Another salad, this one with pepperoni and mozzarella cheese and a bit of ranch. I had grilled flounder fillets for my additional protein.

For a snack, I risked and had a few almonds. Hubby swears by almonds, since they have no sugar (peanuts would have been very risky since they do have sugar). I am quite satisfied, I must say. Sweet ole TOM also showed up so, if there's an increase in my weight tomorrow, do I have a steak day? I'll have to check the boards to see what others do. Water retention during TOM will certainly dissipate over the next few days. To be safe, I went ahead an pre-grilled some sirloin.

Here's the menu in table form:

P3 Day 1 - Tipsy Typing

Yes. I had my first glass of wine in weeks and yes. I am not focusing well; however, I need to get this down before I completely forget. Weekends are rough, especially weekends when you're driving for 4.5 hours straight with two fussing kids in the back seat. Thankfully, we all arrived home safely. Oh, and my hubby placed first in his weight category at his show, this weekend (light-weight, which is still boggling to my mind) and took home overall! What a guy!

So, my first P3 day. No need to worry about dropping too much weight anymore. I can't believe how much I've eaten! I'm pretty sure it's steak day for me, tomorrow. TOM is on the way and everything salty I could eat, touched my lips. My breakfast was wonderful, my lunch was amazing and my dinner? Oh, my dinner! Yes. I probably won't get to eat a thing until tomorrow's dinner, which will be a huge steak. Oh, well. I think this was worth it.

I gotta take it easy and I know this will be easier to do on weekdays where there's more regulation and scheduling. Weekends (and impending TOM) are always a downfall for me especially when all the HCG is gone, gone, gone from my system. I'll be working on this, as I stabilize. Also, that was the last of the Lexia, so all that's left is Zinfandel. Probably better than the dessert wine. I could taste all that sugar! Not good. Here's the smorgasbord of goodies I had today (1500 calories worth. I'm still reeling!):

I was 157.5 today so, still within norms. I think it will be pretty scary tomorrow. Oh! And, I bought a scale to use for my travels. Good thing, since hubby called and said he broke the one at home, while cleaning the bathroom....glass everywhere. The bad thing is my "travel" scale weighs in with .5lb increments which is what I have not used in the past. We'll have to replace our old scale, which weighed in with .2lb increments. Want too be sure I'm not doing steak days unnecessarily. Of course, tomorrow will be totally necessary.

Last of P2 24 and 48 hour VLC Days

My condo's wireless costs an exorbitant fee, so I'm surfing at the McDonald's while my kids eat Breakfast. Yesterday was hard because I took my roast beef in the car for the long car drive and a bowl of tomatoes? Oh, nasty. I barely ate the tomatoes, which had a rancid taste and the roast beef barely did anything. Later in the day, I turned into super witch and it wasn't until dinner time that I realized I was acting out because of hunger. So, off to my favorite place: Mongolian BBQ.

Oh my gosh! I'd forgotten how good it was. My youngest loved it, but my oldest was too tired to really take in the fabulousness. I loaded up on cucumbers, cabbage, celery, tomatoes and chicken (seeing that I didn't eat much for lunch). As a sauce, I drowned it in the red cooking wine. I was in heaven! I'm thinking of going back for lunch today (a pick up just for me). The girls will want their normal "vacation" junk, so I'll oblige.

So, yesterday, I was 157 (a loss of .8lbs from my LIW) and today I was 155.5, which means I'm officially two pounds under my LIW. I gotta eat more today. Weird, right? Gotta eat more?

I will post menus again, once I'm home. I'm too distracted at the Mickey D's. This location houses a Greyhound bus stop and this place is crazy! Can't wait for my omelet tomorrow. Seems like I'm going to need it, if my weight keeps dropping. (keeps dropping...really? I'm worried about this?!).

Day 42 VLCD - LIW Phase 2 Winds Down

I'm done. I had my last injection today and it's a bit surreal. By Sunday, hubby and I are talking buffet of meat and cheese. I don't think I'll make it. I had nearly the 500 calorie mark for the first time today and I feel like I'm going to blow up. Seriously!

I make my long drive tomorrow, so I'll have to have some items to take along. I'll probably do a bit of shopping, once I get there. Anyway, I am anxious to go but getting sadder about being without my hubby on our wedding anniversary.

On a happier note, I had a good loss today at 1.2lbs. This means that I can't go lower than 155.8 and no higher than 159.8 as I stabilize and then maintain (at least until Round 2). Here's what I had today, again, the closest I've been to 500 calories ever on this plan:
