Sometimes, You Just Need a Treat

I had a good day and worked hard at keeping the salt levels down. I've seen that some days I'm below 1200, which isn't good, but who knew low salt levels and low calories correlated? I guess I'm just glad I'm seeing movement in my weight. How about 182.2 this morning (even though it's not a weigh day)? I worked out last night and burned around 680, which I'm sure made a difference. I hope to get in another workout this evening as well (I'll have time while the babe is at gymnastics). Which reminds me, I've got to find out what policy is for "taking a break". She's been going strong with this since she was six years old. I think she would appreciate having her summer (and mom, having a bit more money in her pocket).

I had a glass of Alice White Lexia last night, along with some dark chocolate we picked up the last time we went to Trader Joes'. That would have been over a year ago now? We were in Washington for one of Hubby's body building shows. Wow! Time sure does fly!

Here are Tuesday and Wednesday's totals:

Busy work day today. Thought it would never end. Tomorrow, a meeting with my boss about what things I've accomplished. I've been so busy accomplishing that I haven't had time to document the accomplishments. Oh well.

Worked out in the evening on the elliptical. Burned 670 calories.

UPDATE: The Muscat wine I had was not Woodbridge but Alice White Lexia, which I adore this time of year. The calorie count should be the same, however. [edit this diary entry]

but sore. I worked out to Standing Legs yesterday and I'm barely able to do said standing today. This morning? My elliptical on program 3 (275 calories). Hard to push it when your legs and butt are screaming in agony.

Hubby took me to lunch today. The restaurant is called Sampan, so I used what I could from daily plate to guesstimate my totals. I hope they're close enough. No workout tonight. [edit this diary entry]

Being Knot-Kneed Isn't Cute

At least, on me. I took a look at my legs very closely and realized that I am a bit knot-kneed. Ugh! It's more apparent when you're heavier, I guess. Another motivation to get this weight off...so I won't look like an over-stuffed, gawky bird.

So the magic number on the template got a change, albeit not much of a change, but a change nonetheless. I think my 183.4 would have been a bit lower, if not for the weight training, yesterday. I tend to weigh up a bit after a weight day. The good thing is that it certainly did the trick. My ass is sore (well, my ass, my thighs, even my calves). Standing legs is a total oxymoron for that video. Standing is so the last thing you want (or can do).

Worked out to Standing Legs this morning (not enough time to do cool down from video, so cooled down on my own). It was tough and I did most of it, without weight. When I used weight, I used my three pounders. I am wiped and I know I'll feel it tomorrow. Hope to get in some cardio this afternoon, as well.

Update - worked out in the evening for 50 minutes and burned 600 calories. Eighty eight ounces of water today. Yeah me! [edit this diary entry]

Awesome Wife Award

(Also titled on the other site). Yes! I received this imaginary award just yesterday by a group of my imaginary peers and friends; I bought (with the help of my mother) and assembled a Brinkman grill for hubby, yesterday. He was so happy. Really, he smiled and smiled and smiled. I wish I could have captured that smile in a jar to witness whenever I needed a boost. He hasn't used it yet, but promised to take the manual with him to work today to "study up" so he could grill the practice steaks I bought for him, yesterday.

Because of the craziness of the day, I didn't get in my workout. I doubt anyone reads this side, but for my own edification, it should be noted. When the calorie allotment is tallied at the top of each journal listing, there is never a "burned" amount (even though I document my calorie burns, when I know them, in the diary entry). I do this because, when workout calories are entered, the calorie allotment for the day is increased. It's just to tempting for me to go ahead and dive into that surplus when I see it. It's just easier to document the workouts in the diary, where they can't cause me trouble.

I spent the day running back and forth between banks (moving money around, since we're making reservations and payments for our vacation, coming soon). I also jumped on a Home Depot sale and purchased hubby's Birthday/Father's day gift. I assembled the grill between 2-4pm. He loves it!

The kids, however, have succeeding in making me absolutely frustrated and crazy. I was glad when hubby came home, so he could run a bit of interference for me. The weekend splurge will, hopefully, not do do much damage (with all of the day's activities). [edit this diary entry]

It's Leaving!

The water is leaving, thank God! I saw a bit of happiness with the scale today, enough to make me not feel so bad about the high calorie intake I had the other day. The salt is under control again and I still eat out. I am still a believer in having what you want, without going crazy. My problem is I tend to go a little crazy (especially during high stress and holidays). I hope I can maintain, at least, during vacation. That will be the ultimate trick. Here are yesterday's stats:

No workout today. Slept in the nook. Hope to get one in later.

Worked out in the evening around 6:30, while coloring my hair. Used the Program 3 setting on my elliptical (20 minute interval workout, where setting 5 is the highest difficulty reached). I burned 280 calories. [edit this diary entry]

(64 ounces of water)

It's firm time again. I was sore for days afterward, but it was good to know what needs work. I'm thinking of interspersing the Upper Body/Lower Body DVD through the week. The muscle training is lacking with my plan right now, although I do get a good deal of resistance training with the elliptical (only lower body).

Burning a Lot, Eating too Much

I burned over 1000 calories with the two workouts I had, yesterday. The smart thing would have been to keep my nutrition levels the same; however, it really is rare that I do the "right" thing, when it comes to my eating. Also, I understand that your body needs more the harder it works. Why deny it? Anyway, it seriously needs to be a low day so I don't lose my momentum. Oh! Before I forget...something that's not on here is the fact that I've been drinking at least 64 ounces of water per day, and at most 88. Weekends' are tough, when trying to get the 88.

Here's yesterday's journal entry as well as the day before (I realized I missed Tuesday's, yesterday):

It's a chilly May day and I'm working from home with the space heater on. Imagine that! Anyway, I worked out on the elliptical for 50 minutes, burning 600 calories. I took two Farenheit this morning, then ate a yummy breakfast.

*UPDATE* Worked out on the elliptical in the afternoon for thirty minutes. Burned 415 calories. The calorie intake for today is a bit higher, probably due to the workouts. [edit this diary entry]

I've done well with my eating and water today. I don't know what plans are for dinner, but it we have left overs, I'll leave the pasta salad alone. Who knew there was so much salt in it! I'll steam more vegetables and opt for those instead.

No workout this morning, but the "plan" is to workout this evening. It's day two of two Farenheit pills in the AM. We'll see how that goes. [edit this diary entry]
