P3 Day 7 - Doing the "Low-Carb" Thing

I began researching a bit on recipes focused on minimal carbs. I discovered a lovely recipe on one of my favorite sites, Recipezaar, that I tried this evening. I was planning on it just being a dish for me but my girls insisted they have some for dinner too. It has eggs, so I was sure my youngest would be all about it (she is a certifiable eggaholic). Strangely, she didn't find it as appetizing as I thought she would. My eldest, on the other hand, had a huge first helping and a huge helping of seconds. The picture to the right is what it looked like and it contains the following:

*eggs
*heavy cream
*cheddar cheese
*deli ham
*broccoli florets
*green onions
*salt and pepper (which I omitted, but it was great even without)

I had a .2 gain from yesterday and I've noticed with all this protein that I'm a little "sluggish" internally. I'm thinking I'll have some Smooth Move tea to get things going. If I were allowed starches, I would just be extra friendly with my oatmeal. Those days aren't too far away. Here's what else I had today (again, some items were best picks from the daily plate):

but a bit gassy and "clogged up". I had some yerba mate tea this morning, which I hope will move things along. Also, the omelet described is as close as I could find to what I had. My omelet had mushrooms and Swiss (not cheddar) cheese and bacon. [edit this diary entry]

I was 161.6 this morning. I'm still drinking my 80 ounces or more each day. I definitely can't slow down with the water on P3 and all its protein. TOM is pretty well gone and I'm not sure if the bloat is, yet. Sometimes it takes a couple of days. Gosh, I hope I still have water to lose. Here's to hoping!

That sounds pretty much like the first breakfast I have planned for P3! Don't forget that you can eat as many high fiber, low sugar veggies as you want, so that's another way (in addition to the tea) to get your system regular again.

Good point about the veggies! I made sure to get more broccoli for dinner tonight (4-18) since it seemed to make a big difference in things, even without the Smooth Move tea (I forgot to drink it). :)
