R4, P2, VLCD 14 - Little Cheater (1lb Release)

Today was my five year-old's graduation from preschool! After the event, they had snacks and treats for the kids and parents. I nibbled on apple slices (legal on the protocol) but then had a little piece of mozzarella cheese and one pepperoni slice (not legal). I felt super guilty afterwards, but then remembered that one slip does not a failure make. So, I'll be better the remainder of the week.

Part of why I'm trying to stay on the straight and narrow now is because, despite my original plan, I may have to go a little rogue this weekend. I'm going to do my best not to, though. My weekend away with hubby should be fun and non-constricting. I told him I'd bring a few sugar-free chocolates to share and I may have a little more than 3 ounces of steak at dinner (4 or 5, max) but it's still rogue. I'm nearly done and don't want to damage all the good work that's occurred thus far.

So, you'll see my cheese slip-up labeled as laughing cow (even though that isn't what I had, it was just the closest estimate I could get to that little square of cheese). I also figure the one slice of pepperoni could be wrapped into that total. Truly! The oil on that pepperoni was probably equivalent to what can be found in one application of my lip gloss, so I'm not fretting about it too much.

I weighed in at 165 flat this morning. I'm kind of proud of my salt intake today (nothing like it was yesterday, thank goodness). I am attributing that to the wonders of cabbage. It's truly a miracle food.
