I've been taking in the BBC television show, "Supersizers" for the past few days. What a treat! It consists of a restaurant reviewer (and foodie) along with a broadcaster, participating in the lifestyle of a particular period in English history for seven days. Some of the food choices are abysmal, but accurate to the time period, which is as interesting as it is frightening. I would love to see this played out in America since our foods are often quite different than our friends' across the pond.
Today, I had no change in weight(which was sort of a surprise, but nice to see). All the cheese showed up last night with a void. Ironically, I was pulled out of a deep, sleeping-pill induced coma, to take care of that business. Normally, I can't wake up from those things until at least 8 hours have passed. At 6:00am, I had more to void. Amazing! I didn't think anything was going to happen with all the cheese I'd had, yesterday. Normally, it succeeds in blocking one up.
A new recipe found my kids eating up most of what I would have saved as leftovers; Parmesan Chicken wings. There are four left and I'm fairly certain my hubby will eat them. Yikes! I had no idea the kids were going to obliterate them the way that they did. They had three each (whole wings, not broken up drumettes). My meals were good but the heavy salt from the wings will probably do me in with tomorrow's weight. I had no idea of the sodium content until I processed the recipe into the Daily Plate. I'll have to save this recipe for an every-now-and-again occasion in the future. Tomorrow, I'll see about whipping up a Cauliflower Bake (again, no leftovers are expected). Here's what I had:
An airy, forty-something water-bearer that marches to the beat of her own drum. I'm a wife, a mother of two and avid animal lover. I also love to travel and may one day make that part of my profession.
