I've got to get to bed earlier. Seriously! Things just aren't good if I don't get enough sleep. Cool news, though; I worked out, yesterday morning. Wow! It felt great and I went longer than I initially planned.
Not having performed any sort of cardio for a while, I gave myself a 20 minute max to work with. It's a good idea to start off slow, when you've been in dry-dock for months. Well, I'm chugging along on the elliptical and realize that I'm doing okay. Nothing is burning uncontrollably and my heart-rate was at a good, steady pace. I kept going. Thirty minutes was my log time. Hooray! But did I stop there? Of course not! I grabbed some light, free-weights and ran through three sets for my biceps, triceps and shoulder-caps. I'm not sore today, but I have a feeling that I will be tomorrow (it usually takes a day or so for my body to figure out what I've been doing to it).
I'm off workouts today, aside from a stroll with hubby later (maybe). He wants to do a guest-pass at a gym tomorrow, when we take off for our trip. Back in the gym...that ought to be interesting. I'll certainly have to pace myself there and make sure he doesn't have me on every machine, trying it out (that crazy man). ;)
I was up in weight, yesterday morning, but I know it's because the salt is here and TOM is on the way. I opted for a mostly protein day, only getting my carbs from the Julian bread (love that stuff...just wish it weren't so dang expensive) and ketchup from my burgers (not much). Please note that the Daily Plate takes your workout time away from your total calories, so the calories listed are net not gross: Here's what I had:
