The summer has been lovely (albeit hot) this year. We had a wonderful vacation this past June and work has been hopping at work. Thankfully, no big fires have emerged and (if we're lucky) none will. My eldest will be celebrating her fourteenth birthday party very soon. Since we're still in the apartment with limited space, I opted to book a hotel room suite for she and her friends. We'll have access to an amusement center beforehand (mini golf, bowling, video games, etc...) for a couple of hours, then we can go back to the hotel to swim. At night, it's pizza and girlyness all around. I hope it will be a successful night.
On a personal front, a friend of mine is arranging a "tasting party" for some of my baked goodies. It will jump start, what I hope will be, a successful venture into my baking career. I'm incredibly nervous but also excited by the prospects. I've created a brochure and will see about a Facebook page in the next week or so. The event will take place at the end of the month at her gorgeous home. If anything, it will be a fun girls night out with lots of delectable goodies to nosh.
I would like to create a business license and have started the research. Goodness! There's so much to do. My goal is to get through all the reading tomorrow, then move forward with the application process. My hubby has one of his own, so I'm going to pick his brain tonight on what steps he took to move forward with this process.
Finally, I've been begun a serious workout regime again. For hubby's birthday, I purchased a couples boudoir session. He and I are gearing up to look our absolute best for those pictures. I haven't asked him if he's trying to get "competition" ready or not; however, I certainly will be. I'm working out twice per day and really watching what I eat. Let it be known that I put on three pounds during vacation and then another five during the summer holidays. That's all gotta go!
Wish me well as I move forward! It's fairly quick getting it off, but it's much harder to maintain. I've got a healthy outlook and am ready to give it my all. Goodbye July 2014 and all the extra weight you gave me, hello August!
