R2, P2, VLCD 31 - Enchantment

We returned from my daughter's play this evening sweaty, exhausted and happy. As a treat, I got her a Pace's slush; it's seriously like diabetes in a cup but, oh so good. They're fine, occasionally. She's never had one before and boy, was she happy. I figured it would be better for her "constitution" not to have the regular dairy treat.

My appetite held out pretty well while we were out at the non-shaded park. I initially thought I'd have trouble waiting until she was done, but I did well. I ate shortly after they did and was pretty satisfied. Only a few more days left, then it's back to cheese heaven.

I was fortunate to find the site of a lady who does nothing but low-carb eating. She not only had menus but recipes and ratings. I was in copy and paste heaven! I will be trying all sorts of new, wonderful things in about a week or so. I can't wait!

One pound gone today. Here's what I had:

R2, P2, VLCD 30 - PMS Hungries

I've been so hungry today and it occurred to me that TOM is less than two weeks out. Already? Yeesh! That's the bad news. The good news is that I have to end this round before it shows up. As I mentioned before, I would end right at TOM if I kept going and Dr. S. says that's a no-no. So, my last day is next Friday. The goal was 135 but I don't think I'll make it. Hubby's all like, "Once you're in P4, you'll be working out again and you may lose the last little bit." This is true, plus I'll be adding back my fabulous muscle tone so, it may not matter in the least.

If worse comes to worse, I'll do one last round after our vacation. God willing, I won't have to but, I'm glad to know I have that option if I need it. I would really like to say that after vacation, I'm still a stable-Mable, rolling with the punches. Hey, it could happen!

Here's what I had today (oh, and a lovely 1 pound loss to boot!):

R2, P2, VLCD 29 - Teas of the World

I have become quite the aficionado of teas, since being on P2. Spicy, mellow, fruity, exotic...there are truly some great teas to be tried. The latest has been the Stash's Vanilla Chai. Yum! Once on P3, I think a bit of cream with it would be heavenly. Hot drinks have seriously kept me sane. They do so much to take away cravings, mellow me out and ease the tension of the day. I think they will be a lifestyle choice for the rest of my days. It's my own, personal tea party!

I had a .6lb loss this morning. Of course, I was hoping for more but I totally recognize that the damage done on Sunday will take time to repair. I will graciously accept these releases, no matter how big or small they are.

Cheese is starting to look so good to me, again. We went shopping today and, after scooping up some more of my orange roughy, I noticed the lovely dairy aisle across the way. The difference for this P3 is that I will choose lower fat alternatives to the ones in my previous P3. Certainly, I will chow down my my favs...just cater them to a more "doable" lifestyle. It can be done (and in a tasty way, no doubt).

R2, P2, VLCD 28 - Slow and Steady Wins the Race...Maybe

I was only down .2lbs today. Bummer but, a loss is a loss. I had hoped more would have released but, this was not to be. My game plan to move things along today? I drank and drank and drank. I even got in my last tea bag of Yerba Mate. Good stuff! You want to detox and rid your body of excess water, that'll do it every time.

Stress maybe a culprit too. For whatever reason, hubby is highly irritated and it's totally bringing me down. It's hard not to let the emotions of others influence your own. It's even harder when they live in the same house and sleep in the same bed. Oh, well. Tomorrow is another day.

R2, P2, VLCD 27 - One Step Forward, Two Steps Back

My suspicions were confirmed: "There be starch in them there hills!" Okay. Not the hills, but most certainly at the Asian Buffet and their Mongolian grill sauce. Dang it! I had a 1.6lb gain today. Sigh. Hoping that my clean eating makes a difference and I don't have further set backs. I learned my lesson, though. If we do go for Mongolian BBQ again, it will be at the other restaurant where I can pick my own, oil-free and starch-free liquids. That's the way it should be, anyway.

Hubby is grilling out right now. It smells wonderful, but I'm so irritated by that unnecessary gain that I'm not even tempted. Hubby says that, "Only a starch or refined sugar would have made my weight go up like that." He would know. He is the king of honey buns. After a show, he'll kill an entire package. The next day, he'll be as much as 10 pounds up from his weight. Sugar really can cause some major craziness in the body (of course eating an entire box of honey buns is definitely above and beyond the norm for anyone).
